MCI screening test - Tips to clear MCI screening test

Hello friends,
I know exam (sept 30th 2012) exam is nearing, and everyone would be tensed.

These are a some of  the TIPS i would like to share.

GENERAL TIPS:-

1. It's normal that some of you would feel that you have not prepared enough. It's alright to feel scared a little. Everybody has these feelings.

Minimum preparation - Anatomy , physio, biochem, micro, patho, pharmac, ophthal, SPM, medicine, surgery, obg 

2. Sleep Well, Eat well. Sometimes, you are too tensed to take these small things seriously.

3. Don't enjoy too much on the contrary also! 

4. Don't forget to get your stuff ready - passport, admission card ( in case you have it !!!! don;t get tensed, you will receive it in last week usually) good pen plus an extra one . Be casual, they will take videos as a part of verification. 

5. Plan for eating in break in between, because you won't be rushing to eat food in canteen in your center if your paper goes horribly in the morning session.




Specific TIPS


1. Don't cheat in exam. And worse still :-  don't get caught cheating!

2. Relax if mind goes blank, you will start remembering once you start relaxing.

3. Subjects to concentrate on 

Well here friends, there is a hell lot of difference between PG and MCI screening test. Read below



MCI screening test - Subjects 
Preparation ( before  exam)
Concentrate on basic subjects , (Minimum preparation - Anatomy , physio, biochem, micro, patho, pharmac, ophthal, SPM, medicine, surgery, obg )

Leave the short subjects if you haven't prepared for any ( derma, psychi, radio etc)

REVISION is the key. Without revision, chances of passing drops ( unless you have memory like an elephant/ or photogenic memory)

1 day of revision is worth 4 days of reading new stuff.


Should have nice resources - 
1. Coaching class notes( your own or anyones)
2. Question papers for practise
3. Broadband internet connection to verify
4. Don't see videos ( USMLE/Najeeb) when you have exams very near.
5. One Should never make a mistake in repeat questions.  Should score maximum in repeated questions.

    I think the best place to prepare for the Online Test Series For MCI Screening Test or FMGE is the FMGEOnline website. I found this website and when registered, all the questions were divided into three parts, like 1 hour, 3 hours and 6 hours. So I could calculate my time and have an idea where do I stand, before appearing to the actual FMGE Screening test. Hope this helps others too, kindly spread the word, since its completely free.
